Canning fresh green beans starts out with preparation. You need to wash them and remove the tips.

You won't have to sterilize the jars either as this step just isn't required for pressure canning. Just make sure they're clean, and you're good.

When you're ready to advance to the next step, you need to follow these green bean canning instructions carefully.
If you do, then you shouldn’t experience any issues with the canning process. The best way to can green beans would be for you to use a pressure canner.
The best pressure canner will come as a double-decker model. This could include a 25-quart capacity, 30-quart capacity, or 40-quart capacity, as this gives you the chance to can more at once.
Add ½ a teaspoon of salt into the jar if you have a pint, or a full teaspoon of salt if you have a quart jar. You can use less, but it's not recommended.
You don't need salt for preservation, but it will give you huge amounts of flavor.
When you've done this, you can then cover the beans with boiling water.
You'll need to leave around 1 inch of water here.
Put the lid on and the ring, before tightening it. You only need it finger tight here.
Be sure that you are using new canning lids every time. Your canning rings can be reused.
How to Use your Pressure Canner for Home Canned Green Beans
Add two or three inches of boiling water to the pressure canner and add the canning rack at the bottom.
Put your jars in the canner and use a dividing rack if you are using a double-decker model, as mentioned above.
Seal the canner and tighten the nuts, allowing the canner to steam-off for around 10 minutes.
Believe it or not, this is a very important step because it ensures that the canner is full of steam before you add the weight valve.
Add the pressure weight to the canner, and process at 10lbs of pressure for 20 minutes. If you’re using quarts, it's 25 minutes.
Allow the canner to cool and reach 0lbs of pressure before you remove the weight.
Take off the bands for storage when they are cool.
If you leave the band on then it will rust shut, and it will leave you feeling frustrated when you’re hungry and have a can you can't open.
