PF-4â„¢ filters are also designed to adsorb:

Under normal conditions it is recommended that PF-4â„¢ elements be replaced at six-month intervals (Actual capacity is dependent on the presence of other competing contaminants in the source water.
High levels of total organic carbons, volatile organic compounds or certain inorganic minerals may reduce the capacity and efficiency of these elements.) Note: do not boil this element.

How To Install The PF-4 Fluoride Filters
They are very easy to install. It's the same as the PF-2 filters.
Underneath the upper chamber you will see the stems of the ceramic filters above.
Just remove the blue cap from the PF-4's and screw them on to the ceramic stems for a minimum of five revoluations.
Run water through the system twice because you will notice a white-like dust in the water.
After the second time you shouldn't notice anymore dust and the water should be clean and ready to drink.
