What Does The Biggest Berkey Water Filter Remove or Reduce?

The Big Berkey® water filter system removes harmful chemicals. It filters out herbicides, pesticides, VOCs, organic solvents, radon 222, and trihalomethanes. It also reduces unhealthy heavy metals such as lead and mercury.

This system is very powerful. It can remove red food coloring from water while keeping the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other system can duplicate this performance.

The Big Berkey® water filtration system is constructed of highly polished 304 stainless steel.

The system includes two Black Berkey® elements. It has a storage capacity of about 2.25 gallons and will filter up to 3.5 gallons per hour.

You can expand this system to use four filter elements. It can then filter up to 7 gallons per hour.

This system is 19.25" in height with a diameter of 8.5". The upper chamber nests within the lower chamber for transport and stands only 13" in height.

The Big Berkey replacement filters should be changed every 6,000 gallons.
