Berkey Water Filter Warranty
Lifetime Warranty For Stainless Steel Systems
If you purchase through my website BerkeyCleanWater.com I will replace any of the parts that come standard with the system over the life of your system.
This includes the stainless steel chambers and lid, plastic spigot, washers and nuts.
This is above and beyond the Standard Manufacturers Warranty stated in the section below.
I must have your customer information on record as purchasing through this website.
Stainless systems must have been handled with proper care. This guarantee does not cover items that are damaged due to user misuse, abuse, salt water/air, lack of maintenance ((routine cleanings or unwillingness to use a rust cleaner), or accidents (dents from falling, etc).
Systems with damage or issues upon receipt require a notification to our company to qualify for warranty replacement as this falls under the “damage upon receipt” warranty rules. Customer is responsible for shipping and processing charges.
Standard Manufacturers Warranty
The manufacturer warrants their product against defects in materials or workmanship during ordinary consumer use.
This limited warranty does not cover product issues caused by any other reason, for the time periods and conditions set forth below when purchased directly from BerkeyCleanWater.com.
For a period not to exceed twelve months from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser, the manufacturer will, solely at its discretion, replace a stainless steel system or component that it deems is not functioning properly during the stated warranty period.
The manufacturer shall not be held liable for incidental or consequential damage to personal property from, but not limited to, a defective unit, improper use, abuse, accident, or neglect, etc.
It is the customer’s responsibility to prevent misuse of the system and to replace parts, when, due to the natural course of wear and tear, they must be replaced.
To obtain warranty service, you must provide a dated receipt for the product and pay for any shipping charges incurred to return the product to the manufacturer.
This warranty will not apply to units which have been used for purposes not intended, which have been altered so as, in the manufacturers judgment, to adversely affect its performance.
This warranty is for the original retail purchaser only, and cannot be transferred.
The laws of the state of Texas, USA will govern any disputes regarding this warranty or claim made.
This warranty, which is given expressly in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied, or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, constitutes the only warranty made by the manufacturer.
This warranty applies only to products manufactured or exclusively distributed by the manufactuer and BerkeyCleanWater.com.
Black Berkey and Berkey Earth Elements Warranty Information
The Black Berkey® Purification Elements and the Berkey Earth® DE Elements are covered under a two year limited prorated warranty, calculated in six month intervals.
Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.
PF2 Fluoride and Arsenic Filters Warranty Information
The Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters and all Berkey® accessories are covered under a six month warranty.
Warranty period begins from the date of receipt of the product by the original purchaser.
Warranty Exclusions
The following actions will void your warranty coverage:
- Attempting to use the Berkey Earth® DE Filter Elements or the Ceramic Super Sterasyl™ Filtration Elements in a pressurized manner. The Black Berkey® Purification Elements are the only Berkey® elements that require priming.
- Allowing any of the Berkey® elements to freeze.
- Using dehumidifier water with any of the Black Berkey® Purification Elements for daily use.
- Breaking the Berkey® elements due to dropping an assembled system or carelessness.
- Failure to remove the Black Berkey® Elements from the system prior to transporting or moving the system, resulting in broken stems.
- Performing a red food coloring test with the Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters attached. The Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters must be removed prior to performing a red food coloring test in order to stay in compliance with the six month warranty on these filters.
- Using the water from a water softening system. Note: this action may clog the Berkey® Purification Elements or cause the stainless steel to pit or rust.
- If the product is not used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations or instructions.

Cancellation Policy

Order cancellations or changes are possible for orders that haven’t entered the shipping process yet.
Order cancellations or changes may not be possible after 1-2 days of the order being placed. All sales are final.
Shipping
Free Shipping on Orders over $120 in Lower 48 States
Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska will have additional shipping charges applied. $100-$150 for Berkey® systems and $50-$75 for Berkey® accessories.
Expect delays on shipping to both Hawaii and Alaska due to Covid.
Returns
Returns are not common. Due to Berkeys' high customer satisfaction rate, it's a super rare occurrence.
When there is a problem with a Berkey system that can't be fixed, the typical option is to return it to the manufacturer for an exchange of product.
However, exceptions can be made for refund returns. In this case, the unopened and unused item(s) should be returned within 30 days of receipt for a full or partial refund.
Any order that has been opened, touched and used is NOT eligible for a return and refund.
This is for ALL Berkey products.
Returns can be made with the carrier and shipping method of your choice, at your expense. There is also a $25 restocking fee.

Please allow 7-10 business days, from the date we receive your return, for a refund to reflect back to the original form of payment used to place your order.
All returns MUST be in their original packaging, be within 30 days, and free from any product damage. No exceptions. You must include all literature included in the original packaging.
Returns are inspected upon receipt with photo documentation. Items received back that are wet, or with damage from either customer usage or return shipping damage as a result of improper packaging will result in fees deducted.
Returns can be made with the carrier and shipping method of your choice, at your expense.

All scratch and dent / Blemished system sales are final. All Big Berkey ceramic systems are final.
