Gravity Water Filter Will Prevent You From Drinking Bacterial Contamination

Berkey Light Gravity Water FilterAn environmental group examined 173 different brands of bottled water on the market and found that some bottled water came from faucets or from companies with a history of bacterial contamination.

That’s shocking information, and sadly, not many people know about it. But there’s something we can do about it.

By purchasing a gravity water filter, you can prevent you and your family from consuming contaminated water.

We’ll talk more about this later but for now let’s look more deeply into this EWG report.

What Did The EWG Find?

The group examined the water’s source, how it was purified, and the results of any tests for contaminants from 173 different brands of bottled water. Only three of the 173 provided information on their plastic exterior.

There is no law that says they have to give that information. It a little suspicious though. If a company isn’t being transparent about what’s in their water then it gives the impression that there must be something bad in it.

And guess what? There are bad things in bottled water and tap water. Thankfully there are independent testers who keep us informed about harmful bacteria, chlorine, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, and other junk in bottled water that you don’t need or want to be drinking.

What Is The Best Solution?

Bottled water is convenient in many ways. It’s easy to carry on the go. It’s easy to offer guests. There are plenty of reasons to buy bottled water. But, if you know there are harmful toxins in the water, you may want to consider different options.

There is a solution available to the public that is affordable and safe. A quality gravity water filter will eliminate pathogenic bacteria, cysts, parasites, herbicides, pesticides, VOCs (Volatile organic compound), and much more.

Not to mention, it eliminates the fear and worry that drinking bottled or tap water could make you sick.

In the end, a gravity water filter can save you a whole lot of money too! It’s also better for the environment!

Very simply, a gravity water filter is operated by pouring the water into the upper chamber. Gravity draws water through purification elements where contaminants are captured within micro-porous elements and are separated from the water.

The purified water then collects in the lower chamber where it can be withdrawn through the spigot. It doesn’t take long to filter either.

Do a Lot of People Use This Type of Filtration?

This method of purifying water has been around for many, many years as a way to provide the healthiest drinking water available. It can be used anywhere you go, as these filters are portable, easy to assemble, and simple to use.

Missionaries and groups such as the Red Cross use them all over the world to provide clean drinking water to those in need.

So what about when you need water on the go, but you don’t want to take the whole filter with you? Yes, it’s easy to grab a bottled water, but it’s also easy to fill up your own glass drinking bottle with clean Berkey water.

These are my thoughts on how to protect yourself from bacterial contamination in your water. Do you have a gravity water filter?
