Despite a small reduction of fluoride in water, fluoride filters are still highly needed.
The CDC along with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has finally listened to petitions from millions of Americans and the Fluoride Action Network by reducing the recommended maximum fluoride levels in tap water from 1.2 to 0.7 parts per million (ppm), a 42 percent decrease.
This may be good news, and many people are celebrating, but wait! You still need your fluoride filters for water.
The CDC issued a telling report that admits 2 in 5 children in America show signs of fluoride poisoning (streaking, spotting or pitting of teeth due to dental fluorosis).
For five whole decades there were 1.2 milligrams of fluoride in every liter of water. That’s a lot of fluoride consumption for the average American.
But even the new lower levels are still more than enough to cause serious harm to children, especially babies. Adults aren’t out of the woods yet either.
Even though the reduction doesn’t end the horrible practice of poisoning the water supply with fluoride, it’s a step in the right direction and we should celebrate briefly because our voices have been heard.
This should have happened years ago because the evidence about this poison has been available.
The bad thing about this is the CDC is only admitting that fluoride causes dental fluorosis while ignoring all of the other health concerns.
If they were truly serious they would ban the practice all together.
Professor Paul Connett, the director of the Fluoride Action Network, says, “All that’s happening here is really a P.R. exercise to make it look as if they are addressing the public’s concerns without really doing anything substantial.”
The impression given is that they’re choosing a level which would allow the water fluoridation program to continue, while attempting to appease the nay-sayers.
That’s a travesty of science and another example where Washington-based agencies are more interested in protecting a policy than in protecting the health of the American people.
“They’ve completely ignored all the IQ studies and the notion that fluoride damages the brain,” Connett says.
Did you know “fluoride” is really fluorosilicic acid, a toxic waste byproduct of the phosphate mining industry?
If it wasn’t being dumped into the water supplies of major cities, it would have to be disposed as a hazardous toxic waste chemical under EPA rules.
It can be discouraging to know that the CDC still advocates the mass poisoning of the American people with a dangerous toxic chemical. What can we do about it?
Best Option – Berkey Fluoride Filters For Water
The best way to protect our families is to take matters into our own hands. Purchasing fluoride filters for your Berkey system will guarantee that your family isn’t unnecessarily exposed to fluoride.
It’s still worth it to fight for fluoride-free water in your city. But in the meantime, a Berkey water filter can help you avoid fluoride completely.
