Fluoride and arsenic are both dangerous and too much consumption can cause sickness, even as severe as leading to death. These elements can be used with any of Berkey’s multi-use purification systems and will filter efficiently for 1,000 gallons under normal conditions.
- The KDF Shower Filter reduces up to 95% of chlorine and 98% of water soluble heavy metals, giving you a chemical-free shower. This Berkey element needs to be replaced after one year or 10,000 gallons, whichever comes first.
- Sport Berkey’s portable water purifier allows you easy access to clean water in any environment. The lifespan of its filter depends on the main water source used. For water from any source, mainly remote settings, the refill capacity is 160. For use mostly with municipal water, Sport Berkey can be refilled 640 times before replacement is necessary.
